Then he left her to it, most probably to leave what had been said hovering in the air and the unsaid should remain unsaid. She studied his lower back and arse as he walked away from her. Malin wondered to herself which sports Martin did. Rock climbing? Lacrosse? Water polo perhaps?

The scenography had been created to depict a trendy penthouse with open-plan living area, rustic brick walls and classy interior design. Martin's screen character lived there and judging by this, he either came from a well-to-do family, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, or he was a modern success story. The bed, which was the main focal point in this scene and where they were supposed to record, was thankfully the wider variety. There were ironed sheets, neatly scattered cushions and fluffy pillows. It had a cosy feel if you could ignore the fact that it was surrounded by spotlights and film cameras.

The red seconds on the digital clock were ticking by, and according to their schedule, they were supposed to start at 9 am, which was twenty minutes from now. When this dawned on her, the insight hit her like a nervous punch in the pit of her stomach. A heated discussion was going on between the director and the producers; camera angles and other vital details. Nothing would be left to chance.

Malin felt she needed to get ready and familiarise herself with the stage props. She stood by the side of the bed, undressed, folded her clothes neatly and put them in a pile. Then she pulled on the dressing gown she had brought in her bag and popped a strong minty lozenge in her mouth. To get into her character, she strolled over to the make-up artist in a particularly girly fashion. The make-up was quickly taken care of, just a sheer layer of light BB cream and a touch of face powder, her hair was left as it was.

Five minutes to go. Malin walked towards the centre of the room, the centre of everyone's attention. Martin had already positioned himself in the limelight, lying there in bed in his underwear. Now Malin had to get undressed too. This felt worse than getting undressed in front of a doctor, but thankfully not as chilly. She snuggled up beneath the duvet, still wearing her dressing gown with a plan to wriggle out of it unseen and drop it onto the floor. She used the same technique with her bra because she was supposed to look naked in the film, and she didn't particularly want everyone to stare at her nude body.

A junior assistant took care of her garments and the director explained everything to them:

"According to the manuscript, the idea is that the smitten couple will kiss passionately and then have hot, steamy sex. We have allowed a whole day of filming for this one scene in case our actors find it tough in any way. This is the first time they are doing this on
